Recycling & Waste Reduction District of Porter County Announces CORRECTED Winter Hours for Compost Sites

Valparaiso, IN – Recycling & Waste Reduction District of Porter County update the Winter Hours for the Compost Sites in Porter County. Extending the Portage and Boone Grove Site open days to the second week of December instead of the first. 

Beginning December 16th, 2024, the Portage and Boone Grove Compost Sites will be closed for the season, making December 14th the final day for drop off.
 

The Valparaiso Compost Site is open year-round for recycling, yard waste, and electronic drop off Monday-Saturday 8am-4pm.

Current Site Hours:

Valparaiso Compost Site Hours (2150 W Lincolnway, Valparaiso, IN 46385):

Monday through Saturday: 8am-4pm.

Portage Compost Site Hours (6451 US Highway 12, Portage, IN 46368):

Monday through Saturday: 8am-4pm through December 14th, 2024.

Boone Grove Compost Site (546 S 400 W, Valparaiso, IN 46385):

Monday through Saturday 8am-4pm through December 14th, 2024.

Boone Grove and Portage Compost Sites will reopen for season March of 2025.
