About Us

NIPSCO, with headquarters in Merrillville, Ind., is one of the seven energy distribution companies of NiSource Inc. (NYSE: NI). With more than 821,000 natural gas customers and 468,000 electric customers across the northern third of Indiana, NIPSCO is the largest natural gas distribution company, and the second largest electric distribution company, in the state. NiSource distribution companies serve 3.8 million natural gas and electric customers primarily in nine states.

NIPSCO is committed to supporting and enhancing the quality of life through community partnerships, volunteering, charitable giving and economic development throughout northern Indiana.

Over the past five years, we have worked with more than 600 organizations across our service territory, and we are helping our communities grow by attracting new jobs, streamlining the process for companies moving to the area, and helping existing businesses expand.
