History of the Hebron-Kouts Tornado

Join Professor Bart Wolf of Valparaiso University Meteorology Department as he presents the history and science of the 1917 Hebron-Kouts Tornado. On May 26, 1917, a devastating tornado tore through Hebron and Kouts, leaving several dead, many injured, and causing a reported $500,000 in damages (the equivalent of more than $9.5 million in 2017). In addition to Professor Wolf's 2p presentation, V.U. meterology students will demonstrate the science behind weather with hands-on activities from 1-4p.
